Lehrte, March 11th 2011 — Ruggedized version of MEMS Rotation Rate Sensor. Götting’s single axis Rotation Rate Sensor HG 84300 is suitable for all point supported navigation methods, e. g.::

  • Transponder Navigation.
  • Navigation following optical bar codes on the ground or on the ceiling.
  • The often still favoured magnet point navigation.

Rotation Rate Sensors are used for supporting the odometric sensors on freely navigating vehicles between two reference points. This procedure ensures more reliable navigation, especially following vehicle stops when the primary navigation does not yet have secure poisition information.

Three years ago, Götting introduced the first generation of the Rotation Rate Sensor HG 84300, which was a perfect addition to the already wide range of products for the Navigation, Guidance and Positioning of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). The adaptation of the MEMS technology to the requirements of vehicle automation has ensured that the HG 84300 Rotation Rate Sensor conquered this market.

The second generation model of the HG 84300 has been correspondingly upgraded:

  • Integrated mechanism for absorbing mechanical shock
  • Additional connector for CAN bus loop through
  • Easier installation

The CAN Bus interface, which was introduced with the first generation HG 84300 has been maintained, and thus the second generation HG 84300 is easy to install in already existing applications. These features combined with the very good value for money make the Götting Gyro HG 84300 the first class choice for AGV applications.
