Lehrte, August 2018, update November 2020 — Since the start of 2018 Götting is a partner of the company Velodyne LiDAR ®, USA. Velodyne is a leading manufacturer of high-resolution LiDAR sensors for the 3D recognition of the environment. Different LiDAR sensors are available with 16, 32, 64 and 128 scan channels. Those sensors have been used in numerous lighthouse projects where series production vehicles have been automated.

Götting wants to offer these sensors as a system integrator for industrial applications — e.g. as navigation sensors for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). Due to the accuracy and robustness of the LiDAR sensors these sensors can nowadays be used as a replacement for 2D sensors in indoor and outdoor applications.
