Lehrte, June 22nd 2016 — Special versions of the KATE small AGV by Götting have been shown on the CeMAT 2016. The automated guided vehicles (AGV) for small load carriers and loads up to 50 kgs now exist in versions as drive-under tractor and with an automatic lifting table. One of the vehicles shown had supercaps as its energy source. Those supercaps have been re-charged inductively at a Götting charging station.

The vehicles have been coordinated via the Götting control software TransportControl. The browser UI also visualized the sequences. WLAN is used for the communication between the vehicles and the control software. Here you can find a TransportControl video introduction. The control software not only enabled a smooth driving operation but also told the vehicles to
- lift and lower the lifting table automatically,
- couple and decouple automatically (drive-under tractor) and
- drive to the inductive charging station to automatically re-charge the supercaps.

The video also shows the new 2-dimensional transponder antenna HG G-98830 and the operation of the safety laser scanner HG G-45000. This laser scanner allows people detection in front of automated guided vehicles and can be operated indoors and outdoors. On the fair warning lamps and a visualization tool on a PC have been used to show what happens when the scanner detects a person.
